NETTAB 2015 & Integrative Bioinformatics 2015 Joint Symposium

14th October 2015

This event will provide an excellent environment and a range of opportunities to present and discuss methods, theoretical approaches, algorithms, tools, platforms, practical applications and experiences in a wide range of bioinformatics research topics oriented to analysis of omics data, network tools, standards for data integration and efficient methods for interoperable web systems.

Submissions are welcome for oral communications, for posters and for softare demo. For oral communications, both full papers and structured abstracts may be submitted.

•    Full papers for JIB: May 30, 2015
•    Abstracts for oral communications: July 7, 2015
•    Abstracts for posters: September 7, 2015
•    Abstracts for software demo: September 7, 2015
•    Abstracts for late posters: October 1, 2015

Accepted full papers on Integrative Bioinformatics topics will appear in a special issue of  Journal of Integrative Bioinformatics (PubMed indexed).

Authors of all abstracts presented will be invited for full papers submission aftr the conference. Best scientific contributions will be published in a Supplement or Special Issue in an International journal with Impact Factor. Papers published in the JIB won’t be taken into account.

“Two-Day Hands-on Tutorial”
We also offer participants the opportunity to attend a “Two-Day Hands-on Tutorial”, hosted by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari, on cutting-edge methods and approaches to key issues in bioinformatics analysis of omics data. Tutorials will be held in parallel sessions on October 12-13, 2015.

Provisional Programme:

  • Genome re-Sequencing for the Detection of Genomic Variations in Human Diseases (Fabio Iannelli – FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM-FIRC) and Anna De Grassi, Dipartimento di Bioscienze, Biotecnologie e Biofarmaceutica, University of Bari, Italy)
  • Analysis of small RNA-Seq Data and Identification of microRNA controlled Pathway (Ioannis Vlachos, Biomedical Sciences Research Center ‘Alexander Fleming’, Vari and Medical School of Athens, University of Athens, Greece)
  • Structural Bionformatics in Drug Discovery (sponsored by the InterOmics Flagship Project)(Pasqualina D’Ursi, CNR Institute of Biomedical Technologies, Milan, Italy)
