International Course on “Introduction to Bioinformatics”

1. Course requirements: The course aims to introduce the students on basic methods of bioinformatics. It will cover several computer-based methods for analysis of DNA and protein sequences. The topics to be covered include: the Unix operating system, biological databases – NGS technologies – web-based tools for genome analysis – a desktop based bioinformatics tool.
2. Application procedure: Download the application form from http://www.inach.cl. Fill in your data, sign it, and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org before September 2, 2016. Include your curriculum vitae in this email.
3. Selection procedure: After the application deadline, the results of the selection will be communicated to the applicants. Preference will be given to those applicants with some experience in basic molecular genetics, biology background, also computer scientists that would like to get a glimpse of bioinformatics planning and analysis thinking. Selected applicants will later receive further instructions on how to proceed for registration, preparation for the course, and arrival instructions.
