The EMBnet Conference offers those companies involved in bioinformatics and computational biology fields an excellent opportunity to promote themselves to a quality audience. We expect a total of 90 to 120 delegates from Europe as well as from other overseas countries including EMBnet delegates representing bioinformatics service providers and communities having a bigger influence on their national user communities.
Therefore, we kindly invite industries and companies to actively participate in this event.
Conference description
The Conference will bring together bioinformaticians and biologists from all over the world to present and discuss new technologies and instruments developed in a vast range of topics within the field of Bioinformatics. It covers general themes such as genomics, proteomics, trancriptomics, systems biology, metagenomics, and new technologies for high-throughput sequencing, including debates on how to manage the data flow produced by such technologies so as to find new ways to organize and analyze sequence data. Furthermore, other technological fields such as data- and text-mining, ontologies and GRID technologies are included. A third important area covered by the conference programme is biodiversity: instruments and applications in biomedicine and agricultural and food fields. As a fourth topic, the conference includes presentations on the education and e-learning tools available in Bioinformatics. Indeed, one of - EMBnet main missions — is to develop and provide a large set of educational materials and tools, including repositories of teaching materials, on-line courses, a newsletter journal and much additional information on various aspects of Bioinformatics.
