The Moroccan society of Bioinformatics organize the 2th international Bioinformatics software School in Tangier in November 2008 : IBSS’2008 to review and highlight the recent advances in Bioinformatics software, computing and algorithms. This Bioinformatics meeting will open the North African community towards the outside world through the invitation of foreign investigators and High quality tutorials on bioinformatics software.

Aim of the course and call for application : The principle objectives of the course are to familiarize young scientists(Biologists/Computer Scientists/Mathematicians) with bioinformatics and computational Biology and to encourage multi-disciplinarity by introducing:

  • Bringing together researcher from different domains related to Bioinformatics and computational Biology
  • Allowing discussion and connections between academic researcher
  • Offering to scholarships review and highlight on the recent theoretical and practical advances in Bioinformatics and System Biology
  • Recent knowledge acquired from System Biology studies.

Participation : The course is aimed for motivated Ph.D. and Post-doctoral students, as well as young assistant professors and junior scientists in Public Institutions from North African countries, who are interested in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Thirty (30) full time places are available for the course. Acceptance will be subject to an evaluation process.

Accommodation and social: The selected participants for scholarship will be staying in a Hotel. Scholarship for the course includes registration fees and free accommodation (double rooms based) breakfast and lunch.
