To celebrate its 20th Anniversary the European Molecular Biology Network (EMBnet) is organizing an International Conference which will bring together scientists from all over the world to present and discuss issues about:

The EMBnet Conference will be held in coordination with the EMBnet Annual General Meeting (September 17th).

The conference will be organized in four thematic sessions:

• "Omics", comparative studies and evolution
• Advanced bioinformatics technologies and applications
• Bioinformatics for biodiversity
• Training and e-Learning

with particular emphasis on:

• Tools and applications
• Education and training
• Collaboration and federation

The main goal of this meeting will be to foster new interactions between participants by offering round table discussions.
