Tenure track professor position to work in the computational genomics laboratory
Our research focuses in regulation of gene expression in Escherichia coli and related bacteria. Survey helps to trim down the list of available courses in THE GTPB Programme (Oeiras, PT)Here is your chance to influence our shortlisting of the Bioinformatics training The link to the survey is available at our website: EMBO Conference Series Microtubules - Structure, Regulation and FunctionsLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany2 Jun 2010 - 10:11am 5 Jun 2010 - 10:11am Europe/Berlin Website and online registration:http://www.embl.de/training/courses_conferences/conference/2010/MSF10-01/index.html EMBO Workshop Advanced Light Microscopy Techniques and their applications – 10th international ELMI meetingLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany18 May 2010 - 10:00am 21 May 2010 - 10:00am Europe/Berlin Event website and online registration:www.embl.de/training/courses_conferences/conference/2010/FLM10-01/index.html Whole Transcript Microarray Data AnalysisLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany17 May 2010 - 10:00am 19 May 2010 - 10:00am Europe/Berlin The European Molecular Biology Laboratory, one of the world's top research institutions, is dedicated to basic research in the molecular life sciences. EMBL is funded by public research monies from 20 member states - Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom and an associate member state, Australia. Stem Cells, Tissue Homeostasis and Cancer ConferenceLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany12 May 2010 - 10:00am 15 May 2010 - 10:00am Europe/Berlin The conference series aims to incorporate basic, translational and clinical aspects of stem cell research into a single framework. The mechanisms that generate and maintain mammalian embryonic and tissue-specific stem cell populations will be discussed, as will the application of this knowledge to regenerative medicine and cancer biology. In particular, the role of induced pluripotentcy and cancer stem cells will be highlighted. Non-mammalian model systems will be included as they provide strong forward genetics, and also opportunities for in vivo pharmacological screening. EMBO Practical Course Scientific Programming and Data Visualization for Structural BiologyLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany5 May 2010 - 12:59am 7 May 2010 - 12:59am Europe/Berlin Deadline: Sunday, 17 January 2010The Practical Course on Scientific Programming and Data Visualization was developed at Harvard where it was offered for the last two years. In 2010, for the first time, it will move to Heidelberg, allowing 45 European students to participate. The course is designed primarily for structural biologists, but scientists from other disciplines are welcome to apply. The goals of the course are to to allow students to learn and master computational skills that are frequently required in less routine projects and to learn methods of data visualization. The Sixth Annual BioMalPar Conference on the Biology and Pathology of the Malaria ParasiteLocation: EMBL Heidelberg, Germany3 May 2010 - 12:56am 5 May 2010 - 12:56am Europe/Berlin The European Network of Excellence BioMalPar is organising its sixth annual conference on the Biology and Pathology of the Malaria Parasite. BioMalPar consists of 50 partner laboratories in 24 institutions from 8 European countries and from 6 malaria endemic countries (Mali, Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, Cameroon and India). It also comprises 12 European affiliated partners.
