Belgian EMBnet Node (BEN) petition

Dear Bioinformatics users,

The survival of the Belgian node of EMBNet (BEN, the Belgian bioinformatics server) is at stake. If nothing is done BEN will stop working towards the end of September 2009. The computers are still running, but nothing is updated because since May 1st BEN is essentially unmanned.
I have created an on-line petition "Keep BEN alive" where you can support our initiative to try and reverse the unfortunate decision by the Belgian Science Policy makers to stop the funding of BEN.

Please visit http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/belgianben/  to sign this petition.

Thank you for your support,

Fred R. Opperdoes,
