The national sevice is currently provided by a 120 CPU Cluster that has been co-financed by FCT Re-equipment Programme in 2006 and by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. This means that high performance computing resources are being made available to its users.
The Gulbenkian Training Programme in Bioinformatics GTPB has provided training to more than 800 attendees since 1991. As appropriate, the HPC facility is used in these courses.
