Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is one of the major molecular biology institutions in Poland and a European Union Center of Excellence in Molecular Biotechnology. The Polish National node of EMBnet,located in the Bioinformatics Department of the Institute, maintains the software and molecular biology databases providing bioinformatics services for the polish scientific community.
