he Israeli National Node (INN) of EMBNet was authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1990.The main INN server DAPSAS (DNA and Protein Sequence Analysis Services) is a repository of all the major databases, as well as many programs for use in bioinformatics. Both programs and databases are updated regularly. User accounts on this server are available to the Israeli research community. INN also maintains 3 web servers, where users can find links to many bioinformatics programs and sites. INN supports sub-nodes in all Universities and Medical Schools in Israel. Support is usually provided by telephone and e-mail. When necessary, support is also provided on-site at the Central Facility or at the user's location. INN organizes training courses in the use of molecular biology databases and software.
