COURSE ON DESIGN & MANAGEMENT OF BIOINFORMATICS PROJECTS

We are pleased to send you the information regarding the upcoming COURSE
ON DESIGN & MANAGEMENT OF BIOINFORMATICS PROJECTS organised by IMIM with
the support of Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

The course aims at providing researchers with basic knowledge about
project management, with specific emphasis on proper design and
implementation of research projects. Additionally, due attention is
given to aspects related to the use of research results after the
project is finished, as a key topic for ensuring long-term financing and
expansion of the researchers' career.

The course is structured in three modules that follow the typical main
stages of a project's life cycle:

- Project Design and Viability

- Project Execution

- Project Exploitation

This course implies 24 hours of teaching that will take place in
November 2007 (12th, 19th and 26th of November) at the PRBB (Barcelona
Biomedical Research Park). It will be taught by experts in the field of
research, project management and exploitation of research results. The
language of teaching will be English.
