Registration

• September 28th, 2009. Early bird registration & hotel booking deadline.
• October 10th, 2009. Late author's registration deadline. (Notified authors should register on or before this date to be considered on the conference program.)

Please be advised that except for EMBnet members (Node Managers, PC and EB members), BOOKING OF A ROOM IS TO BE MADE BY EACH INDIVIDUAL DIRECTLY THROUGH the Resort's official booking site.

Please register online and fill in the registration form. You will be automatically notified about your registration by e-mail. A detailed confirmation letter and invoice will be sent upon receipt of payment which should be done by credit card through PayPal (NO NEED OF AN ACCOUNT).

Prices are in US dollars.

Registration fee includes:

- Round-trip ground transportation (Airport-Paradisus Resort-Airport)
- Access to the scientific sessions*
- Conference package*
- Certificate of attendance*
- Welcome Reception
- Coffee breaks (accompanying persons are welcome to coffee breaks --each coffee break is a "social event" itself!--)
- Conference Main Dinner (Beach Dinner together with the traditional EMBnet's Ethno-party).

* Not included for people registered as "Accompanying person".

The conference registration fee does not include insurance of participants against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property loss or damage.

Students/Young people fee is applicable for students and people up to 31 years old.

Young people and students will be kindly requested to provide relevant documentation during registration (i.e. proof of age or valid student card).

Accompanying persons

Every person attending the conference, either as author, EMBnet/RIBio member, academic, regular participant or accompanying persons should register on-line at the Conference System. The cost for accompanying persons, as long as they are staying at the Paradisus Riviera Cancun Resort, includes:

• Round-trip ground transportation (Airport-Paradisus Resort-Airport).
• Participation in all social events.

Besides, during registration, accompanying persons will be able to reserve their participation for the optional half day tour (explained below).

Accompanying persons should select the corresponding registration type during the on-line registration process.

Other expenses

1. Hotel booking. Should be done directly through the Resort's official booking site. Please visit the Conference Venue & Accomodation page for more information about the Resort and the prices we have arranged.
2. Optional half day tour "Xcaret at night" (show and dinner included). We have arranged an optional half day tour on Wednesday 28th (evening). It costs $120.00 USD and you will be prompted to book it during the on-line registration process.

Additional Important Notes

• All participants are advised to take out adequate personal insurance.
• A fee of 20% will be charged for each cancellation (conference fee and half day tour fee) to cover administrative costs. NOTE that the hotel has different cancellation policies.
• There will be no refunds for cancellations received after October 15th, 2009.
• All refunds (conference fee and half day tour fee) will be processed one month after the end of the conference.
