EMBnet AGM 2016

The EMBnet 2016 Annual General Meeting is a satellite event of the Combined CHARME, EMBnet and NETTAB 2016 Workshop on "Reproducibility, standards and SOP in bioinformatics".

The workshop will take place in Rome (IT), October 25-26, 2016. All info are available at: http://www.igst.it/nettab/2016/.

Registration to the CHARME-EMBnet-NETTAB 2016 worshop

EMBnet members who want to attend the workshop must register to the workshop by following the instruction available in the workshop web site: http://www.igst.it/nettab/2016/registration/reg_newinfo/

In the same page are aslo reported deadliens and registration fees for each category of attendantand. For EMBnet members there is a reduction of € 30 euros, and if registration is made within the early registration deadline the total amount is € 170,00.

The EMBnet AGM

The EMBnet AGM will be held immediately after the workshop (27-28 October) at the same site. The AGM event includes:

  • reports about the EMBnet Executive Board and Special Interest Groups activities and results;
  • a ‘making connections’ session, that will consists of brief updates (5’ presentation) by attending members on their interests & activities to identify potential collaborators;
  • presentation and discussion of strategic plan initiatives promoted & agreed on AGM 2015;
  • open discussions and new plans;
  • the normal business meeting.

Registration

Registration is free of charge. EMBnet members who are planning to attend the AGM 2016 are invited to register  by using the registration form available at: http://www.embnet.org/agm/2016/registration

Registration deadline: 30 September.

Who needs a letter of invitation for VISA can send a request to Domenica D'Elia.

 

Hotel Booking

Becasue of the many events that will take place in October in Rome, the availability of Hotel is limited. The list of Hotel close to the meeting venue is available in the web site section 'Hotel': http://www.embnet.org/agm/2016/hotels.
 
Among the Hotel listed only the Hotel Laurentia and the Hotel Ateneo Garden Palace have some rooms reserved to EMBnet members. They will be at our disposal only up to September 20. To book a room in one of these hotels use the links below and include in the e-mail subject: 'room booking for EMBnet meeting'
Reimbuersement

EMBnet will reimburse the hotel room cost for the nights of 26, 27 and 28 October for partners that pay the full member fee and have long trips. The travel cost will be covered up to €500.
