Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstract submission deadline: September 28th, 2009
Abstracts submitted will be made publicly available exactly in the form they are submitted, for this reason authors are kindly requested to adhere to the following guidelines:
- The Abstract must be typed into the submission form.
- The abstract should not exceed 3000 characters, and should include background, method, results and conclusions (the 3000 characters include spaces but NOT title, authors and institutions).
- Authors' names, affiliations and Departments must be typed during Step 2 of the submission process.
- A list of keywords describing the area of research should be provided during Step 2 of the submission process.
- Authors will be allowed to submit extra material (Step 3 of the submission process) such as graphs, figures or tables for a better understanding of the submitted work.
Abstract structure:
It is recommended that the abstract is structured as follows:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
If references are essential, they should be within the text, in the form: (Leroy et al. Biochem. Genet. 2007; 75, 15-23).
Changes, additions or corrections will not be accepted after the abstract submission, except when reccomended by the reviewers.
The author can state his preference for the type of presentation (Submission Type: oral or poster), although the final decision will be taken by the Scientific Committee.
A registration of the presenter to the conference of an accepted abstract (either oral or poster) must be made at the latest by September 30th, 2009 to be taken into account for presentation.
